Every blues guitarist, budding or otherwise, should have this great DVD in their collection.  The blues scene in Australia is so healthy due to great blues musicians, like Chris, openly sharing their skills and knowledge with other musicians.  Chris takes us into his intimate inner sanctum, his kitchen, and provides a comprehensive run down on playing the blues.  Chris loves his music and his relaxed discussion and exhibition of technique easily engages those watching.  Even I picked up a guitar and learnt a few licks and I don’t even play guitar!!  This DVD though is aimed at those who already have some working knowledge of the guitar and require a master class in the blues.  Chris is highly esteemed amongst his peers, especially for his eclecticism.  Chris delves into his love of Celtic, African and Indian music, showing just how connected music is all over the world.  The DVD is based on acoustic guitars (his range of which is worth viewing in itself!) which hopefully opens the possibility of a follow up electric based DVD.  The 2nd DVD showcases Chris’ wonderful playing.  Again it is interspersed with a range of stylings.  As Chris says this is all about sharing his knowledge, enjoy and have fun.  If you have any interest in the blues then this is guaranteed! 
The last word should perhaps go to another great guitarist Jeff Lang.  Jeff has spent a lot of time playing with and learning from some of Australia’s great guitarists and this is what he has to say about Chris;
